If this is your first renewal:
Virginia Post-License Education (30 hours required)
30 hours of post-license courses required for first-time real estate license renewal.
If this is your second or subsequent renewal:
Virginia Real Estate Continuing Education (16 hours required)
16 hour CE course (including mandatory hours) for agents.
Also! In addition to your 30 hour post license OR 16 hours CE, you will need:
Virginia Limited Service Agency (2 hours)
This one-time 2 hour course is required for all salespersons and brokers
whose license expires before July 1, 2009. Our approved course is live in Reston, VA or correspondence.
Virginia real estate brokers: Brokers must also take 8 broker CE hours:
Business Management in a Real Estate Office - approval #58424.
(8 hour mandatory Broker CE course. Required for brokers effective 7/1/08)
45 Hour Broker Pre-License Course
This course covers one of four required 45 hour courses to become a Virginia Real Estate Broker.
All courses are online, VA state-approved and taken at your own pace. *
